Viktor Tsoi. The Hero’s Journey

For our team, it was one of the largest and most meaningful lighting design projects to date.

The massive exhibition spread across 11 halls and covered 2,000 square meters. All the lighting there was fully designed and installed by us.

Each space represented a different part of Tsoi’s life — featuring him first as a young withdrawn man, and then as a national hero, an icon for a new generation. 

Each area had its own unique lighting scheme. For us it was more a creative, rather than technical task. Sometimes the decisions we arrived at were unexpected (even for us!), and they created new pathways to further discovery and progress.
