The initial concept behind the exhibition was to combine different ways of interacting with the audience: visually they were offered to explore paintings, drawings, and art objects; sonically, a musical installation. The overall experience was further enhanced by a scent station that corresponded with the sound design and the visuals.

The lighting was supposed to interconnect all those elements and integrate them into the exhibition. The artworks brought together the two opposites, nature and technology, seemingly erasing the gap between the XIX and XXI centuries.

The Manor greenhouse, which became the exhibition venue, was naturally abundant with sunlight. This is what the lighting concept of the exhibition was built around. The sunlight entered through the windows of the central nave and evenly filled the space. At the same time, some accent lighting, pointed directly at the works, created a feeling as if the light was piercing through a tree canopy. All those elements combined helped preserve the harmony and airness of summer gardens.
