The main concept behind the lighting design is the first nuclear power plant preserved in amber, like prehistoric flora or fauna. The building and its surrounding space embody a concentration of energy, knowledge, and ideas from past generations who made a breakthrough for the future.

The concept was also inspired by retrofuturism and visual motifs of energy and the atom, water and cooling, as well as the Vavilov-Cherenkov effect — the glowing phenomenon caused by a charged particle moving through transparent liquids at speeds exceeding the speed of light in that medium.

In areas associated with radiation hazards or reactor monitoring, color lighting plays a key role.

It helps create an atmosphere that forms strong associative imagery for visitors.
