The Glazunov Academy

The exhibition was held as part of Zaryadye’s flagship project GRADUATION and timed to coincide with the 95th anniversary of the birth of Ilya Glazunov. The gallery featured works by Glazunov himself, as well as by his students and close associates.

While the previous chapter of this large-scale project employed traditional museum lighting techniques, this exhibition called for a lighter and more visually open approach. In addition to accent lighting focused on the artworks, we introduced a soft, diffused ambient light. This created a barely perceptible illumination on the vertical wall surfaces, transforming the overall atmosphere of the gallery and setting it apart from the previous installment.
