The Media Center at Zaryadye Park has become a hub of art and inspiration as it hosts the anniversary exhibition of nominees for the 5th Moscow Art Prize. More than seven hundred artists across various creative fields submitted projects completed in 2023 and the first half of 2024 — and the best of them are now on display. Covering key areas of contemporary art, the Prize serves as a platform for supporting emerging talent and recognizing established creators.

This year’s categories for the 5th Moscow Art Prize are: Visual Art and Architecture, Music, Film, Theater, and Literature.

For the anniversary edition of the prize, both exhibition and architectural lighting had to be designed. The lighting concept was aimed at creating a multilayered spatial experience: a play of light and shadow and a careful balance of contrast helped form a coherent and complex composition. The intricate shadows cast by architectural elements enhanced the sense of depth and emphasized the sculptural quality and monumentality of the forms, drawing visitors forward to the next space. Exhibition lighting guided attention toward the artworks and shaped the visual path through the show.
